Buddhist temple founded by the followers of Mahayana Buddhism is not so far from the city of Yogyakarta. The temple was built around 800 AD and in the reign of dynasty Syailendra had experienced several times restoration. And at the time of the eruption of Mount Merapi, this cultural heritage was closed due to the Merapi volcanic ash that blanketed the entire body of the temple so that needed further treatment of this cultural heritage.
The attraction of this temple is the size of the temple at the time was found buried deep enough and the temple area is very spacious. In the body of the temple there are reliefs that surround the temple walls. Relief of this temple has a groove that we can understand by reading it according to the clockwise or mapradaksina in ancient Javanese language, which means east. Why east? because the east side door of the temple is the beginning and end of the story found on the temple walls. Even if we see from all sides are correct. This relief has many wonderful stories about all forms of value of life.
And the temple itself has its own levels which has its own name as well. In the Buddhist stupa, there are six statues in it.
